"For the interior I found a college outside New York which had a big theatre, and I did a big Oscar setting. Glenn Close presented the Oscar and Scott loved the design i did for it. He was an amazing producer – difficult but amazing – and with a designer like me they never accept something that is maybe realistic but not special. But you can't always be special on a subject which is realistic, you know. But with the Oscars I could use imagination."(Ken Adam)
